- What happened
- On February 8, 2005, at 23:35 and 23:45 local time, a military radar controller at Grazzanise reported an object at reduced speed and variable direction, between about 1,000 and 3,000 feet in altitude, without indicating shape and color. According to the entry published by the Italian Air Force, checks with the relevant units did not make it possible to associate the two events with known flight activity or radiosonde launches. The entry does not specify whether the object was seen with the naked eye or detected by radar, and no other sources on the case are on record.
