- What it contains
- The director of AARO presents the FY2024 annual report, covering the period from May 1, 2023 to June 1, 2024: 757 reports (485 from the period and 272 from the years 2021–2022), hundreds of them resolved as balloons, birds, drones, satellites or aircraft, while more than 900 remain in an active archive for lack of data. The report states that AARO found no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity or technologies and that no resolved case indicated advanced capabilities or revolutionary technologies.
- What it shows and what it does not
- It documents AARO's official position in 2024: the cases in the active archive remain open for lack of data, not because they indicate a non-human origin. It does not address the sworn claims made by Elizondo the day before.
- How it came to light
- Transcript published by the Pentagon on its website on the day the FY2024 report was presented.
