- It is not a contradiction in the strict sense: even in 2026 Grusch does not attribute the species to a place of origin, and already on June 9, 2026 he had spoken of a “continuum” of life forms, of which the government allegedly knows several. What changes is the level of detail and the quality of the sources he declares: in 2023 he relayed assessments by people he described as having direct knowledge; in 2026 he describes the appearance and roles of several species, relying in part, by his own admission, on informal rumors. Possible innocent explanations: after leaving the government and working with Congress he may have gathered other testimonies, and a setting not under oath allows one to report information of lower quality as well, provided it is presented as such. No new evidence has been presented.
