Benito Mussolini

Head of the Fascist government, alleged founder of the Gabinetto RS/33

1933–1945 · Historical figures (1933–2007) · Historical figure

In the documents that appeared in 1996 and in Pinotti's account, after a crash in 1933 he is said to have set up the secret RS/33 committee and a pact to share the discoveries with Germany. In 2023 Grusch claimed that Mussolini's government recovered the craft and kept it at a secure air base until 1944, when OSS agents allegedly took it; in 2021 Elizondo said he had seen very convincing Italian documentation attributed to Mussolini. According to it.wikipedia there is no trace of RS/33 in the state archives, and historians and members of CICAP consider the documents most probably modern forgeries.

Controversies
  • No document in the state archives confirms the existence of RS/33 (it.wikipedia); according to CISU analysts the documents have no protocol numbers, stamps or other verifiable markings.
Today
Cited by Grusch since 2023 (1933 retrieval attributed to his government) and by Elizondo in 2021. In March 2026 Wanted in Rome recalled that all the primary documents trace back to a single anonymous source and that no independent archive has confirmed them.
