Guglielmo Marconi
Scientist; named as head of the alleged “Gabinetto RS/33”
1933 · Historical figures (1933–2007) · Scientist
President of the Royal Academy of Italy, he appears in the Magenta affair as the alleged head of the “Gabinetto RS/33” (Ricerche Speciali, 1933), which, according to the story, is said to have been based at La Sapienza University in Rome. No archival traces of an appointment, funding or reports are known, and it.wikipedia judges the role historically implausible given the regime's protocol practices; according to Skeptoid the detail belongs to the later and broader versions of the story, not explicitly to the 1996 documents. In 2024 his daughter Elettra and grandson Guglielmo, interviewed by the weekly Oggi, reportedly stated that he worked on RS/33, according to the accounts reported by it.wikipedia.
