John Podesta
Former chief of staff to Bill Clinton; called for opening the UFO files
2002–2016 · Government and the White House · Official
A former chief of staff to President Bill Clinton and later an adviser in Obama's White House, in 2002 he spoke at a Coalition for Freedom of Information conference to call for the release of government UFO archives and later wrote the foreword to Leslie Kean's book (2010). In February 2015, on leaving the White House, he wrote that his biggest failure of 2014 was not having obtained the disclosure of the UFO files. As chairman of Hillary Clinton's campaign, in April 2016 he said that she would try to declassify the documents; the emails that Tom DeLonge wrote to him between 2015 and 2016 were later published by WikiLeaks.
