Stanton T. Friedman
Ufologist; reopened the Roswell case and defended the authenticity of the MJ-12 documents
1978–1996 · Historical figures (1933–2007) · Researcher
An American ufologist, he interviewed Jesse Marcel in 1978 and Glenn Dennis in 1989, helping to bring the Roswell case back to attention. In May 1987 he released the MJ-12 documents with Bill Moore and Jaime Shandera, and in the book Top Secret/MAJIC (Marlowe & Company, 1996) he maintained that there were no substantial grounds for denying their authenticity. His position contrasts with the judgment of the FBI, which considered the MJ-12 document completely false, and with the USAF reports on Roswell (1994–97).
