Claim · G-004

David Grusch: Claims that elements of the intelligence community concealed information about UAPs in order to deliberately obstruct congressional oversight, placing UAP activities inside ordinary special access programs (SAPs).

David Grusch · Jun 5, 2023 · The Debrief, article by Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal (statements cleared by DOPSR) (Article)

Hearsay Funding, secrecy, Congress

Unverifiable

The accusation is contained in the May 2022 complaint to the ICIG, signed under penalty of perjury and described by The Debrief, but the substance is classified and no outcome has been made public.

In support
According to Grusch, the ICIG deemed the complaint “credible and urgent” (July 2022), a procedural threshold that does not amount to a finding of fact; Sen. Josh Hawley said the allegations resembled what officials had “reluctantly” admitted in a briefing.
Against or denials
The AARO historical report vol. 1 (2024) states that it found no evidence of classified programs not properly reported to Congress; the check concerns what AARO examined.
