Claim · G-049
David Grusch: Claims that AARO contacted him officially only in November 2023, that his email of January 8, 2024 with questions about security went unanswered and that AARO has no access to the information he provided to the ICIG and the intelligence committees; says he trusts the ICIG's investigative powers, independent of the DoD.

Disputed
The AARO documents obtained via FOIA give a different version of the contacts, and the disagreement concerns mainly safeguards and jurisdiction more than the existence of invitations.
- Against or denials
- An AARO memorandum dated January 8, 2024, released via FOIA by The Black Vault, states that it had become clear that Grusch did not intend to provide information on his claims and that he did not show up for a scheduled meeting. As early as June 2023, AARO had told his attorney that it could by law receive any information on UAP, even classified, and a memo from General David Abba (DoD SAP Central Office) authorized AARO to hear from people bound by nondisclosure agreements.
