After the roughly 90-minute classified briefing to the Oversight Committee on Grusch's allegations, the ICIG's office declined to comment and the inspector's assessment has not been made public. As of October 31, 2026, there is no record of any public ICIG report on the merits of the allegations or on the outcome of the reprisal complaint.

Complaints and legal process
What it denies and what it leaves open
It neither confirms nor denies Grusch's claims. The “credible and urgent” qualification of 2022, as reported by Grusch, is by law a threshold, to be assessed within 14 days, for forwarding the complaint to the DNI and the committees, not a determination of the truth.
- Who disputes it
- Some House members hinted at a favorable judgment: Moskowitz said that many of Grusch's claims have merit, Burchett that Grusch is credible. Krishnamoorthi, by contrast, said he had not understood whether the accusations were true.
