The Inspector General's emails on UAP and Elizondo, with the denial of Garry Reid's removal

DoD OIG FOIA response DODOIG-2022-001019 – e-mails of Randolph R. Stone containing «Elizondo»

Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) · Feb 8, 2024 · USA · FOIA release

Original available

127-page PDF, response letter included, read in The Black Vault's copy of the official FOIA response.

What it contains
It collects emails from the office that handled the Inspector General's UAP assessment, with references to Elizondo from 2017 onward. On April 13, 2022, commenting on an article in The Debrief according to which Garry Reid had been removed, the Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations writes that she had spoken with the office of the Under Secretary for Intelligence and that the article “is inaccurate”; the same day Reid replies to Stone “Still here, same job.”
What it shows and what it does not
It contradicts the report, commented on by Elizondo, of a removal of Reid in April 2022. It does not concern the merits of Elizondo's allegations or the conclusions of the Inspector General's UAP assessment.
How it came to light
Released to The Black Vault on February 8, 2024 (124 pages released in part), in response to a FOIA request of June 28, 2022 for the emails of Randolph Stone, Deputy Inspector General for Space and Intelligence Evaluations.
