The PURSUE archive: the Pentagon's UAP file releases (2026)

PURSUE – Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (war.gov/UFO)

Department of War (Pentagon) · May 8, 2026 · USA · Data

Original available

Official archive of the Department of War; the war.gov site blocks automated requests and was not opened here: the description is based on press releases, on PBS and on catalogs that point to the original files.

What it contains
It is the online archive in which the Pentagon publishes, in successive series, UAP files from various agencies: reports, videos, historical documents, the contract files and the AAWSAP/BAASS reports. As of October 23, 2026 there are seven series, with about 478 files according to the sources, and the Pentagon presents them as unresolved cases, on which the government does not arrive at a definitive assessment.
What it shows and what it does not
It documents a shift toward publication, not toward confirmation: according to the available summaries no file published so far documents retrievals of non-human craft or biological material, and “unresolved” does not mean “non-human.” The number of files varies among the sources and some dates are known only from secondary summaries.
How it came to light
Published by the Department of War starting on May 8, 2026, after the presidential announcement of February 19, 2026; seven series through October 23, 2026.
