The agreement with the Army ran until September 30, 2023. The closing assessment, obtained through FOIA in 2025, judges the “Artifact A1” sample to be probably a test object or a manufacturing by-product, with no military applications; according to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory it is an alloy of magnesium, zinc and bismuth, probably obtained with commercial techniques. TTSA has not published any technical data of its own.
