Official position · S-034
The declassified documents show that Kona Blue, proposed by former AAWSAP/AATIP participants and described by some interviewees as a compartment to protect “non-human biologics,” was established on July 11, 2011 only as a prospective special access program and closed on December 12, 2011 for inadequate justification; it never received funds or materials. AARO's historical report states that the DHS rejected it for lack of merit.

Non-human biologics
What it denies and what it leaves open
It shows that the proposed program was neither approved nor funded and states that no extraterrestrial craft or body was ever collected; it does not in itself prove that no other programs with similar purposes exist.
- Original words
It is critical to note that no extraterrestrial craft or bodies were ever collected.
- Who disputes it
- Supporters read in it proof that former AAWSAP members considered a compartment for materials and biologics necessary; for AARO it is instead proof that the program never existed.
