Original available
32-page PDF read in The Black Vault's copy of the official FOIA response.
- What it contains
- It contains internal emails of the Office of Inspector General with the photo of Elizondo's resignation memorandum (forwarded on February 19, 2021), a copy of the Politico article of May 26, 2021 on his complaint and the Pentagon's press response sheet updated to May 17, 2021, according to which Elizondo “had no assigned responsibilities for AATIP while assigned to OUSD(I).” It also includes correspondence of August 2021 on the UAP assessment conducted separately by the Office of Inspector General.
- What it shows and what it does not
- It documents that in 2021 the Pentagon's official line on Elizondo's role was unchanged, with the formula “no assigned responsibilities,” and that the Office of Inspector General was following the case. It contains no assessments of the merits of the complaint or of Elizondo's claims about UAP.
- How it came to light
- Released to The Black Vault on June 28, 2022 (32 pages released in part), in response to a FOIA request of January 4, 2022.
