Factual errors in the book Imminent

Luis Elizondo

Weight: Substantial

First version
Aug 20, 2024 · The book attributes to “Ronald Moultrue” an answer about AATIP and Blue Book, places another pilot in the back seat of David Fravor's aircraft, writes that the FLIR1 pilot saw the object with the naked eye, calls the aircraft in the Aguadilla footage a helicopter and measures the energy of the phenomena in terahertz. Metabunk (Mick West) – “Errors in Imminent”, August 23, 2024
Second version
Aug 23, 2024 · According to Mick West's check, the correct name is Ron Moultrie and the sentence does not appear in the transcript of the May 2022 hearing (where Moultrie speaks of the absence of official programs between Blue Book and AATIP), the pilot named was not aboard with Fravor, the FLIR1 pilot (Chad Underwood) said he saw nothing with the naked eye, the aircraft at Aguadilla was an airplane and the terahertz measures a frequency, not an energy. Analysis
These are errors of detail that do not directly affect the book's central theses and may stem from imprecise recollections, editorial revisions or popularizing simplifications; the sentence attributed to Moultrie, for example, is close in meaning to what he said at the hearing. The checks, however, all come from a skeptical analyst and the transcript was not rechecked here; the book itself warns at the outset that DoD approval for publication does not imply the accuracy of its contents.
