Biological remains: from some retrievals to several dozen cases

David Grusch

Weight: Substantial

First version
Jul 26, 2023 · Under oath: biological remains were found in “some” retrievals and are non-human according to people with direct knowledge of the program. Official transcript of the July 26, 2023 hearing in the House of Representatives (GovInfo, CHRG-118hhrg53022)
Second version
Jun 9, 2026 · At the press conference at the Capitol he claims that the government is aware of “several dozen” cases of non-human biological material (a Washington Examiner paraphrase, reported by UAPRAD). UAPRAD, profile of Grusch's 2026 allegations (a site close to the pro-disclosure camp)
Analysis
It is an escalation rather than a contradiction, because speaking of some retrievals fixes no number. The shift to several dozen cases, however, happens in a setting not under oath, without new public evidence, and the wording is a journalistic paraphrase. Meanwhile AARO (July 2026) again rejected the idea that the government holds retrieved UAP material, and in 2024 had described “Kona Blue,” the compartment that some interviewees associated with non-human biologics, as a proposal that was never approved. One innocent explanation is that Grusch gathered new testimonies after 2023, for example as Burlison's adviser.
