Claim · A-001

Dylan Borland: Claims under oath that, a few years after a triangle sighting at the Langley base in 2012, through an assignment in a special access program he was exposed to classified information about the “legacy program” for retrieving crashed UAP, and that he has direct knowledge of craft and technologies “not ours” that allegedly operate without congressional oversight.

Dylan Borland · Sep 9, 2025 · House hearing, Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets (Oversight Committee) (Hearing)

Under oath Hearsay Legacy program and recoveries

Unverifiable

He declares “direct” knowledge, but describes it as exposure to classified information for which he gives no sources or documents in public; at the hearing he deferred several answers to a closed setting (SCIF). The only firsthand experience he recounts is the 2012 sighting.

Original words
I was further exposed to classified information from the UAP legacy crash retrieval program
In support
No public document in support. Borland says he spoke with AARO (late March 2023) and with the Intelligence Community Inspector General (August 2023, in an interview he describes as videotaped and under oath); the content of these interviews is not public.
Against or denials
AARO found no evidence of retrieval or reverse engineering programs (historical report, March 2024; FY2025 report, July 2026). Borland himself says he did not share information on sources and methods with AARO: the office's conclusions therefore do not necessarily concern what he claims to know. At the hearing he did not present documents.
